I sort of forgot about how yummy they are and how simple they are to make.
I line a baking sheet with foil and spray it with PAM. Then, I place the sliced tomatoes on there and sprinkle with a little garlic powder and some oregano and top with just a little freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. I place it in the broiler and check it every couple of minutes to make sure they don't burn.

The result is a soft, melt in your mouth tomato with a lot of flavor and very few calories. Yum!!

Yummy, I'm going to try these this summer!
Those ARE pretty! Great for Weight Watchers. Only problem is, I'm on Weight Watchers in the morning, but by the time I get home from work, I'm not on it anymore! LOL Good thing I didn't join.
What a delicious side dish! YUM!
Holy yum! This would be a fantastic light lunch this summer! Wow!
Great idea Pam. They look wondeful!
These were the tomatoes!! Yum! They look delicious...and I'm totally making them with my garden tomatoes when they are ready!! :)
These tomatoes look delicious and figure friendly - a huge plus.
It sounds almost like a pizza without the bread. I don't even really like tomatoes but those look really good.
Yum, those look so simple and delicious! I'll have to give them a try this summer!
Yum. I love tomatoes. Those look delicious.
Oh yum - that plate is totally making my mouth water - looks delicious!
Mmmm! I will definitely be making these! Thanks for sharing! :)
Those look really good and what an easy side dish or snack. Great idea!
This makes me excited for summer tomatoes!
I love broiled tomatoes and these look gorgeous!
These look great, what an awesome side dish!
They're gorgeous! When my brothers and sisters were little, my mom would do "tomato lessons," where we had to eat a slice of tomato with dinner, and we hated it! Now I love them in sandwiches (though not still not so much in salads, funny thing) but I would love this. Am bookmarking it right now.
Yum - you know I'll be making those this summer!
I'll take tomatoes in any form!
Yummy and simple!
Sorry that I've been an absent commenter; I just finished up my law school exams and am finally getting around to my google reader. This treat looks fabulous! I mean, tomatoes are one of my favs. And broiling them only intensifies that wonderful flavor. I can't wait to make these for Todd and myself. Great job!
thanks so much for this. I love tomatoes and need to diet like nothing else.
